1. Introduction #
This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") outlines the terms that govern acceptable usage of WApp Chat by all users. The goal is to ensure that our platform is used in a lawful, ethical, respectful, and responsible manner. By using WApp Chat, you agree to follow this AUP along with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. This Policy applies to WhatsApp links, QR codes, analytics, contact imports, templates, campaigns, automation APIs, integrations, and any other feature offered by WApp Chat.
2. Purpose of the Policy #
The primary purpose of this policy is to protect users, third parties, message recipients, third-party platforms, and the integrity of our platform from harmful, abusive, or illegal activity.
3. Prohibited Activities #
You must not use WApp Chat for any purpose that:
- Promotes or distributes spam or unsolicited messages
- Sends WhatsApp messages to recipients who have not given valid consent
- Imports, uploads, buys, rents, scrapes, or uses contact lists without lawful permission
- Falsely marks contacts as opted in or creates misleading consent records
- Ignores, suppresses, or bypasses opt-out, unsubscribe, STOP, block, or similar recipient requests
- Generates misleading, malicious, or phishing links
- Links to content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or violent
- Violates any applicable local, national, or international laws
- Infringes on the intellectual property of any individual or company
- Abuses third-party platforms, APIs, or terms (e.g., WhatsApp, Meta)
- Attempts to evade WhatsApp, Meta, carrier, or WApp Chat limits, quality controls, template rules, account reviews, or anti-abuse systems
- Uses QR codes for redirecting to harmful or unauthorized websites
- Creates or distributes malware, spyware, or malicious scripts
- Engages in automation or bot-based abuse of our services
- Shares fake news, misinformation, or unverified claims
- Harasses, stalks, or threatens any individual or group
4. Account Misuse and Abuse #
WApp Chat accounts must be used by their rightful owners. Misuse includes:
- Sharing login credentials with unauthorized persons
- Impersonating individuals, businesses, or brands without consent
- Using multiple accounts to bypass limits or restrictions
- Circumventing security features, tracking systems, or access limits
- Using our services for mass messaging without opt-in consent
- Sharing API keys, cron secrets, webhook signing secrets, or other credentials with unauthorized persons
- Triggering campaigns, queues, webhooks, or automation events in a way that creates spam, duplicate messages, or unauthorized processing
5. Third-Party Platform Abuse #
Our platform offers tools that work with third-party services like WhatsApp. Users are strictly prohibited from:
- Violating WhatsApp's Terms of Service by sending bulk or automated messages
- Using links in a way that could get recipient numbers blocked or reported
- Redirecting links to fraudulent content or external scam pages
- Sending business-initiated WhatsApp messages without required consent
- Using approved templates for content or categories that were not approved by WhatsApp or Meta
- Continuing to message recipients after they have opted out
- Using WApp Chat to conceal sender identity, impersonate another business, or misrepresent who is contacting the recipient
5.1 WhatsApp Campaign and Automation Requirements #
If you use WApp Chat for contact import, bulk template campaigns, automation events, external API triggers, or integrations, you must:
- Collect valid consent before sending WhatsApp messages.
- Keep reasonable proof of consent, including the consent source, timestamp, business name, and consent language where applicable.
- Use approved WhatsApp templates only for their approved purpose and category.
- Send messages that are expected, relevant, and not excessive.
- Provide and honor a clear opt-out method where required.
- Keep contact data accurate and remove or suppress invalid, opted-out, blocked, or complained-about recipients.
- Cooperate with WApp Chat if we request opt-in proof, campaign context, or compliance information.
WApp Chat may block imports, pause campaigns, disable automation keys, throttle sending, require proof of opt-in, or suspend accounts where we detect high abuse risk, suspicious sending, repeated recipient complaints, high failure rates, or policy violations.
6. Content Guidelines #
All content shared using WApp Chat must:
- Be accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge
- Not contain hate speech, discriminatory language, or incitement to violence
- Avoid using copyrighted material without permission
- Comply with marketing and advertising laws in your region
7. Platform Integrity #
You must not:
- Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with WApp Chat
- Upload harmful scripts, codes, or engage in denial-of-service attacks
- Overload the server with automated scripts, scraping, or link refresh abuse
- Access or attempt to access restricted areas without permission
8. Monitoring and Enforcement #
We reserve the right to monitor platform usage for security, performance, and compliance with this policy. If we discover or receive complaints about violations:
- We may suspend or permanently ban your account
- Your access to premium features may be removed without refund
- We may report your activity to appropriate legal authorities if needed
- We may pause or cancel campaigns, disable API keys, block links, suppress recipients, or preserve relevant logs for investigation
9. Reporting Abuse #
If you witness or experience abuse, please report it to our team immediately at support@wapp.chat. Include the URL, type of abuse, and any screenshots or evidence available.
10. Changes to This Policy #
WApp Chat may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time without prior notice. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
